8/11 The World is a Room Exhibition

One dozen of my pieces, including paintings, photographs, and mixed media works, are on view in The World is a Room, a 2-person exhibition at USC Hillel Art Gallery. The show opens on August 28th from 2-5pm and will be on view through November 10, 2011.

USC Hillel is located at the northeast corner of Hoover and Jefferson at 3300 S. Hoover St., Los Angeles, CA 90007. Additional parking is available at Hebrew Union College at 3077 University Ave., 2 blocks north of the gallery.
7/11 Chain Letter Exhibition at Shoshana Wayne Gallery

My work is currently in "Chain Letter" at Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Bergamot Station. The show was curated by Christian Cummings and (former LA Weekly critic) Doug Harvey. Artists were invited to participate through email chain letters that asked them to forward the invitation to 10 artists they admired. The massive resulting show is on view through Thursday, August 25th.

Los Angeles-Istanbul Connection features work by five Turkish and five Los Angeles artists at the 18th Street Arts Center Project Room. The exhibition includes paintings, sculptures, photography, video and installations by Los Angeles based artists Carol Es, Gul Cagin, Marcie Kaufman, Arzu Arda Kosar, and Blair Townsend along with Istanbul based artists Insel Inal, Saliha Kasap, Elif Oner, Ozan Oganer and Alper Sen.

My Becher Series, recently featured in New American Paintings magazine, will be exhibited in this show.

1/7/11: NEW AMERICAN PAINTINGS
I am very excited that my artwork is included in the December 2010/January 2011 Pacific Coast edition of New American Paintings (#91). A 4-page spread of my "Becher Series" is featured in this highly competitive juried exhibition-in-print. Lawrence Rinder, Director of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, chose the artwork for the publication. I am pleased to be one of 40 artists selected out of over 1000 for this magazine.
